Faith Lutheran Church has been serving the Reno area since 1956. Faith is a worshiping fellowship of Christians. We follow Jesus’ example to love and serve in our congregation and in our neighborhood. We are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Within the ELCA, we are included in the Sierra Pacific Synod. The congregations, the people, and the ministries in our expansive geographical region walk a common road together as a community of nearly 200 congregations in central and northern California and northern Nevada that shares a passion for making positive changes in the world.
About Our Service
Faith Lutheran Church worships at 9:30 A.M. on Sunday mornings. We provide a traditional service that includes communion, traditional Lutheran liturgy, and hymns from the 16th-21st century.

Our Mission Statement
Faith is a worshiping fellowship of Christians. We follow Jesus example to love and serve others in our congregation and in our neighborhood.
“God’s Work. Our Hands.”
About Baptism
Baptism is the entry rite into Christian faith. It is an act instituted by God, performed using water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, whereby the baptized is united with Christ. As Lutherans, we practice baptism of infants through adults and believe that baptism is a gift from God, not the result of human work or decision.
About Confirmation
Confirmation ministry is a pastoral and educational ministry of the church that helps the baptized through Word and Sacrament to identify more deeply with the Christian community and participate more fully in its mission. Faith Lutheran confirmands begin instruction at the middle school age or in a family-style fashion.
About Holy Communion
In Holy Communion, also called the Eucharist, Lutherans recall the saving acts of God through Word, bread and wine, and are connected with Christ and with Christians of all times and places. In this sacrament we are fed with the Body and Blood of Christ. All who have been baptized are welcome to the Lord’s Table for Communion; those who do not wish to receive the sacrament are welcome forward to receive a blessing.
